Easily record your computer screen with Webinaria

Have you ever wanted to create video instructions or a digital demonstration for someone but didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars for the required software? If you said yes, then you could just as easily use Webinaria for FREE!

Unfortunately, at the time of writing this, the product website is down. However, I was able to find it on the CNET Download site.

This is taken from that page:

From Charlwood eMarketing:
Record your desktop screen movements, voice narration and webcam and upload them to the web in Flash format for free. Using your microphone and/or webcam, quickly start recording your desktop presentation, demo or screencast. Modify the capture area from your active window to a customized area, adjust your hardware or recording quality, and edit the audio and webcam properties frame by frame. Convert from an AVI file to FLV using the latest compression technology, and upload to our Flash player. Host with us for free and receive ratings, comments and generate leads for your software demo, website screencast or business presentation.

Version 2.1 includes a video editor that allows users to save projects, add text, sound and Web cam effects to selected frames on a timeline.

This morning, I downloaded and installed the software to give it a quick test.

Here’s the screenshots of the initial interface:

i’ve try this program, unfortunately, there’re tons of problems bothering me during the record. firstly, i can’t think out how to customize the size of recording window, the program just leaves a small window with Set and Cancel buttons at the left top of my desktop and nothing happens. Then the shortcut key of recording cause and stop are too complicated, I have press 3 button at the same time to achieve it. At last, when I finish recording, the preview is too awful to tell what it is. I can’t even playback my video, only show several frame shots. How can a so-called Easily screen recorder impress its user like this?

Well, I prefer to use DemoCreator and BB Flashback 2. They do are the screen recording software worthy of the name.

Well, I figured out how to set a custom size. Go to “Options” and click on “Custom” and then “Select”. That box in the upper left corner will be the guide. All you have to do is resize it like a normal window and then hit “Set”.
